U13 England Handball Tournament

U13 boys secure place at the regional competition in London in May.

Huge congratulations to our U13 boys who have qualified for the regional Handball competition in London in May. Our boys played some amazing handball all day, drawing special praise from England Handball representatives.

In a gripping play-off match to decide who would qualify, TCC found themselves 6-4 down with only 90 seconds to play. Some excellent long-range goals pulled TCC level and forced extra time. With TCC up 8-7, our opponents scored with a buzzer beater at the end to set up a tense penalty shoot-out. Our boys held their nerve with some expert penalties and some amazing saves in goal helped us defeat The John Warner school 3:2 on penalties in sudden death.  

Our U13 girls did a fantastic job and were unfortunate to miss out on qualification with 3 games lost by only 2 goals which could have easily swung their way. An amazing effort from both teams!
